Transformers Classic 3.0 Coming Soon

First is Drift in the Classic 3.0, now the next one review to be Thrust.

Thrust, was first introduce in the Transformers classic line to be Botcon 2007 exclusive

Then, Henkei release a exclusive version for Ganbo online store.

and now he will mass produced under Classic 3.0 by Hasbr0. Good news for the collector?

I love the color scheme on the classic 3.0 version, more G1 accurate, but sometimes pre-launch photo can be deceiving.

For those who haven't got the exclusive, you will get this mass produce version from RM59.90 to RM69.90 at retail. Target date to release in Q3 2010.

Gaiking GDX-01

My first Japan super robot mecha toy, Gaiking by MOST WANTED. I come across the toy when I was shopping at a toy shop at Hong Kong airport. Now I don't really watch the anime. Bandai did come out with a SOC version, and CM Corp with smaller version. The box deco looks similar to the Bandai SOC packaging, and it is heavy! Wihout any background study, I decided to pick up the toy.

On to the first shot. How tall is he? About 14 inch from head to the feet. And he is solid. Articulation point on the shoulder, elbow, hips, knee, feet knuckle.

He come with accessories as below

He looks great with his shield and axe

and he can hold his spear with both hands

Overall, he is a great figure. His feet is heavy giving him low center of gravity point, and so easy to pose. The minus point is the rust on the screws and springs, suspect that production did not treat the metal part, or using a lower grade screw.

Back to the anime. It was aired on 1976-1977, produced by Toei. A sequel was created on 2005 in the name Gaikng Legend of Daiku-Maryu. I just watch the first episode on the sequel, and gotta find the DVD version for this anime. Is kinda hard to come by as it is not really a popular anime.

Final shot together with Alternator Rodimus for size comparison. Thanks flashout for borrowing me his lightbox and Alternator Rody for the photo sessions.
